Assistant Director Course Application

The DGC BC 1st, 2nd and 3rd Assistant Director courses are intended for individuals who are actively working in Assistant Director categories and require the courses for upgrade. To attend an AD course, you must meet the course prerequisites. If you do not meet the prerequisites, you must demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.

 

1st AD Course Prerequisites

  • Full Members in the 2nd AD Category

 

2nd AD Course Prerequisites

  • Full Members in the 3rd AD Category

 

3rd AD Course Prerequisites
Must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Associate Members who have completed the TAD course; or
  • Associate Members who have worked 20 or more days as a TAD; or
  • Associate Members who have worked 20 or more days in the AAD-BKC, 3rd, 2nd or 1st AD category

INSTRUCTIONS

If you do not meet the prerequisites for the AD course you would like to attend, please complete the application form on page 2. Please provide details about any work performed on non-signatory productions that demonstrates experience equivalent to the course prerequisites. Include call sheets or paystubs to support this experience.

 

All identifying information will be removed from your application and it will then be reviewed by the Assistant Director Caucus Advisory Committee and the instructor. You will be notified by the DGC BC prior to the course of the Committee’s decision.

 

Accepted applicants will be allowed to register for the course if space allows.

 

Do not register for the course before you are notified of the Committee’s decision. If you register prior to the Committee’s decision, your registration will be cancelled.

 

Completion of this form does not guarantee admission to the course.

 

Your application must be received by the DGC BC by the deadline posted in the course invitation.
